Sorry for the delay, due to work and the release of 6th ed, I was a bit delayed on putting up part 2 of my Tervigon project. Here is where I’ll cover how I did the back legs and final detailing of my new Tervigon. Without further delay lets get back too it!
Step one: no more hoof! Doing the back feet is easy compared to the font legs. Nothing wrong with the legs themselves in this case. The first thing you should do is locate and clip the feet off of the spew. Then you just cut the hooves off right above the hoof itself. Smooth it over with a file and get ready to go bit digging!
Step 2: fun with extra bits. Here is where I dig into my extra warrior bits. I get out a pair of the extra large scything talons and then two pairs of smaller ones. These will be your toes and claws for the back feet. You can also use another pair of smaller claws for the middle toe if you have enough. ( I ran out) Cut the talon portions off two of the smaller talons. The larger one should be cut at the “wrist” joint for the making of the foot itself. If needs be these larger talons can be a bit long, you can trim them down to size carefully to make shorter claws. After you have done that you are ready to file, glue and green stuff your foot together.
Step 3: green stuff. Green stuff in the gaps first and wait for that layer to dry. then you add a second layer for the toes and shape of the foot. Remember to smooth your green stuff so no fingerprints are left behind in your work!
Step 5: Details. After you finished both feet it’s time to do some minor detailing to it to give it that “I’m a dragon” look. It could be horns, or extra spikes, a tail fin. For my Tervigon I simply turned some mandible bits and spiky bits into horns on the side of her face and backwards facing scything talons to look like devolved wings. Whatever details you feel give it your own spin on your dragon- like Tervigon. Good luck, and happy converting!
